Who will be the next NW Ohio school to make the investment of Field Turf? Perrysburg, Ottawa Hills, Wapakoneta and Springfield each took the leap the past offseason.
That brings NW Ohio to 13 Whitmer Central Catholic Huron Clyde Ashland (i guess its NWO) Fremont Tiffin Findlay Lima Wapakoneta (could be NW or SW) Perrysburg Ottawa Hills Springfield
I heard Rossford is building a new Stadium at their athletic complex on 795 and its rumored to have Field Turf.

Turf would be great at Napoleon. I could see it in the future, probably after they get bigger visiting stands though.

I know Naps coach wants turf. Pass the hat, let's get this done! Can't fill the visitor stands now. Maybe with the new league will see better followings.

I'm sure the new league will bring much bigger crowds.

Napoleon would be the ideal place in rural NW Ohio to have turf. I am sure with the businesses there, they can get it paid off quickly. Also, they can get some volunteer work done to help cut costs.

Bigger vistitor stands would also help to host playoff games, which would help to justify the cost of turf also.

I would have to say AW but the school is gonna need private dontations for it to happen or a couple AW football players sell some cookies. I think AW will get turf then alot of NW ohio playoff games will be played there nice stadium just lacks turf.

I dont really care for their Stadium...and they most certainly will need private funds with the struggles they have passing a levy. But the most Ideal spot for Turf is obviously Defiance or Napoleon. Maybe Con Agra and Sauders will donate some funds to Archbold to install the fake stuff. They already have the best of everything else

Ideal spot no way who is the last DIII team to get turf around north west ohio??? It makes no since to drop 1.2 Million on a stadiums feild when u can fix it for 3-5k a year. AW has the pockets to fill up the donation jars but I think AW is about 4-5 years away from getting it. I think the buck would look good with turf but they need to work on parking, visitor stands and consessions on the visitors side before turf. I would just start a Donation Drive first for Napoleon and if they can't get it filled up then go to fixing or bettering the consessions for visitors and parking.

Ideal as in ideal location to hold playoff games. Toledo is too far away to hold a Tinora-LCC game for example. And as for size of school to get turf....Huron is D4. Wapak is 2 or 3. Ottawa Hills is D5/6. Rossford is D4 and installing turf with their new stadium. Where did you get 1.2 mill? Most have said 6-800K then it goes down if local company donates time for excavation.

I'd also like to see Fostoria get turf, but they do a really good job of maintaining their field. I heard Fostoria will do improvements to it this summer, such as moving the crown. Still, a turf field at Fostoria would help bring in more playoff games. And since you can get the turf in colors, I always thought they could make it stand out -- black turf (Fostoria and St. Wendelin both have black as a main color) and traditional white yardlines, with one end zone decorated in Fostoria colors and the other in St. Wendelin colors.
