I tell you what after seeing some of his players talk on ESPN about him leaving he better hope he dont see any of them out anywhere LOL. This one mite even be worse than when Rich Rod left for Michigan.

I think the players are overreacting a bit. And he didnt pull a DRod and say he wasnt leaving Cincy...He didnt destroy file etc. DRod left like a little kid. Kelly has always said ND was his dream job. Plus its common place for coaches to move on to bigger things. Were the Cincy faithful complaining when they took him from Central Michigan? The Big Least doesnt have the tradition of the other major conferences and ND...so coaches will leave there. Wait for the Rutgers coach and UConn coach to be gone soon too.

How can you think that his players are overreacting when just last week on ESPN he said that he is NOT focused on anything but Cincinnati football right now and than BOOM he his the ND coach . All those kids believe in you and your system and also believe you are there for them going into the biggest ball game in Cincinnati history , that has to be like a dagger stuck in you and know matter how you put it to me is no different than what Rich Rod did . Being a huge Michigan fan i still think he did UWV VERY wrong and personally i wanted old Les from LSU anyway.

He was focused on Cincy before the PITT game. After that's game was over he had an interview and was offered the job. Spin it how you want, but he did NOTHING like DRod did. He was always saying how he wasn't leaving. Kelly just didn't want to talk about it. Most schools put there are stepping stones to bigger, better things. You can't fault him for taking the job. He never said he wasn't leaving. He didn't want it to distract his kids before the PITT game. Now the boys have a month to focus on the Sugar Bowl. Sure the boys can be upset he is leaving, but to insinuate that there could be bodily harm done if they meet on the street is ridiculous.

That turned out to be a big lie. It'sall about money. The long line of failing coaches at ND will continue.

Someone leaked it. He didn't release anything. He told his kids at the banquet. That was before Notre Dame announced it the next day.

Why would you say its all about the money? He has stayed for years that ND was his dream job. Of course he will be making more, but I don't think that is an issue in his taking the job.

I was NOT serious about the bodily harm , but to say that is justified to leave after the PITT game is CRAZY .

oberhaus, this is just my opinion on things and you have your opinions and that is why we get on these sites , i just think that any coach that bails for another job even if he is going to his dream job or what ever before the season is complete is just crappy to me

And it should be expected now. That coach needs the month to start recruiting for the new school. The thing that upset me was comparing what Kelly did to what DRod did. The only similarity is that they both left before the bowl game. Kelly handled it correctly. He was open about talking to ND. DRod said he wasn't going anywhere and he destroyed paperwork at his office. What played out between WV and Mich was 20times more outrageous then the Cincy to ND move. There isnt even a controversy involved here.
