Don't write off Hillsdale so quickly. They could easily keep PH's hand full in this contest. Not saying that they will, but I think it will be much closer than what people may anticipate.

Several is here. Not sure what I am getting in ot when the first things I see are Ober and phdigger are moderators. LOL!!!
On a more serious note, I will tell as many as I can about the site. Hopefully we can get it to take off.
5 weeks in a row of rain on Friday's and now 2 weeks in the playoffs with pretty good weather. Last week was warm but a little windy. Today it will be mid 50's and little wind. Perfect weather for this time of year.
PH loves to play on turf. Can't wait to see how much quicker Luke and justin will be on turf.

Did we practice at all on the fake stuff? I know we have played on it the last few years and I don't think we practiced on it last year....am I wrong?

After watching the forth quarter at the PH-Hillsdale game, I can say I lost a lot of respect for Hillsdale's coaching staff.

How ridiculous was that? Their first score came against half JV and Varsity, no problem with that. Then an onsides kick, whatever. Our JV offense in against their varsity defense, we punt and they block it and return for a TD. Then ANOTHER onsides kick!!!!!! (which they touch before 10 yards but still given the ball. Our JV defense picks it off a few plays later but our JV offense has to punt again. Their VARSITY offense then throws and throws only to score as time expires.
Why not give your JV's a little taste of the playoffs? It was 42-0!!! Just stupid. Coach I was furious.

But that is why PH is strong year after year by giving JV players game experience under the lights. Maybe someone out there someday will see how this success works and replicate it.
As for the final score, who cares. PH's number was bigger than Hillsdale at the end and the equipment will not be turned in this week.
Any thoughts on the PH/Tinora match-up?

When juniors and sophomores step in next year to replace seniors, they will be better because of this. If you look at PH's year to date, the JV's have played 1/2 to a full quarter against almost every other team's varsity squad. That is one reason why I feel we reload instead of rebuild every year. |
