Is Timken still loaded with McKinley transfers? Triway is usually decent and CVCA has been building a strong program.

Yes, Timken should run away with the league again. 2 more transfers this year, 1 from a local school and another from Arizona. Triway will be solid once again, as will Manchester and Tuslaw. CVCA lost 7 of their top 8 players, but they have a very good coach and will be in the thick of things. www.ohiobasketball.net/wooster/principalathleticconference.aspx

The "rich" get richer. Gotta love the city schools with open enrollment where a kid can choose any school in that district like Cleveland and Cincy.

Is Northwestern supposed to be decent this year? They don't traditionally have a very strong program.

Is Northwestern supposed to be decent this year? They don't traditionally have a very strong program. LoL. They have one of the best programs in the area and are always a tough team. They have THE best coach in the WCAL, and are very well respected in the area. We have played them as our season opener since the 2004-'05 season and have probably gone around .500 against them since, including losing to them in that first meeting, the same year we went to the state championship.

Huh. How do they usually do on the tourny trail? I guess that's where people over here would see their name. I used to deliver water in West Salem and don't remember there being much excitement for the athletics program.

They've been in a tough spot in the tournament, in the same district tournament as the good Loudonville teams that went up against North College Hill at state, and with Smithville and Triway. They were district champs in 2003 and 2006. ohiobasketball.net/wooster/history.aspx
