Huron Tigers win their Third State Championship

The Huron Tigers won their third DIII state volleyball championship this afternoon at the Nutter Center defeating Frankfort Adena, 25-17, 25-21, 25-21.

Congratulations to Coach Don Wood and his team on a great accomplishment. This was a total team effort for these girls, not only this week in Dayton, but in their regional tournament last week at Liberty-Benton HS as well.

Unforunately, the Flyers fell to the Marion Local Flyers in four sets. This was Marion Local's third consecutive DIV state championship, two of them at the expense of the St Paul team in the state final...today and in 2007.

Congrats the the St Paul team. They have an outstanding program and are becoming a frequent visitor to the Nutter Center. They'll be back.
